MENTAL HEALTH AND SUICIDE PREVENTION FUNDRAISER
Contribute to Our Club's Support of Switchboard.
The past few months have been challenging as we come to terms with the tragic loss of two people connected to our VicTennis community by suicide.
In recognition of those we have lost, we are running a raffle in the lead up to the VicTennis Hardcourt Championships (September 26-28) and raising funds for Switchboard Victoria to support their efforts to prevent suicide in the LGBTIQA+ community.
Switchboard delivers essential peer-led support services with an intersectional approach, supporting individuals who are LGBTIQA+ or are impacted by homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, and intersex discrimination, as well as their friends, allies and families. LGBTIQA+ voices are amplified across initiatives at the community, service delivery and government levels to improve policy, services, responses and outcomes for LGBTIQA+ communities. Our work is made possible by passionate and committed volunteers, staff, members and our allies.
Every dollar from each raffle ticket will go directly to Switchboard and give you a chance to win one of many prizes totalling $2000. Tickets are available for $10 and multiple tickets can be purchased at one time.
Follow the link below to purchase your raffle tickets now and please share with those close and afar to support suicide prevention across our diverse and wonderful LGBTIQA+ community.
Tickets will be drawn at a special lunchtime ceremony on Saturday 27 September at Tennis World Albert Reserve, our venue for the Hardcourt Championships.
WHERE: Tennis World Albert Reserve, 46 Queens Rd, Melbourne
WHEN: Saturday September 27, 2025 - Noon
ONLINE TICKET PURCHASES CLOSE: Saturday September 27, 2025 - 10am
COST: $10 per ticket (no limit to number allowed to be purchased)
The raffle would not be possible without the incredible generosity of donations from TennisOnly (Richmond), LSKD, Salt Lab, I Love Linen, Bloch, Gift Box (Pattern), Naked Harvest, Yotpo, Cotton Balls Undies, Bangn Body and HeyBud Skin Care. Thank you to these donators on behalf of VicTennis and the wider community.
Special thanks to Rad Mitic who has led this effort and taken the lead for this important cause. On behalf of the community, thank you Rad.
