TOURNAMENTS
VicTennis has a number of annual tournaments which give the LGBTIQ+ community and our allies plenty of competitive play opportunities. Check back regularly for new events being added to our calendar. If you have a suggestion for an event, please contact the VicTennis Committee. Volunteers always welcome.
All VicTennis tournaments are open to everyone regardless of gender, sexuality and race.
We have two types of events:
GLTA SANCTIONED EVENTS (GLTA)
These multi day tournaments are in line with the GLTA world Tour.
Players earn points towards tournament entry and Championship points to qualify for the GLTA year end Championships in January or February each year.
VICTENNIS CLUB EVENTS (CLUB)
These one day events are an opportunity to gain experience with tournament play in a relaxed and easy to navigate environment.
Timed sets means you know your schedule before hand and the day runs like clockwork but that you get plenty of tennis too. Events take place in metro Melbourne and all around the state.
