VicTennis has a number of annual tournaments which give the LGBTIQ+ community and our allies plenty of competitive play opportunities. Check back regularly for new events being added to our calendar. If you have a suggestion for an event, please contact the VicTennis Committee. Volunteers always welcome.
All VicTennis tournaments are open to everyone regardless of gender, sexuality and race.
We have two types of events:
GLTA Sanctioned events (GLTA). These multi day tournaments are in line with the GLTA world Tour. Players earn points towards tournament entry and Championship points to qualify for the GLTA year end Championships in January or February each year. www.glta.net
VicTennis Club events (Club). These one day events are an opportunity to gain experience with tournament play in a relaxed and easy to navigate environment. Timed sets means you know your schedule before hand and the day runs like clockwork but that you get plenty of tennis too. Events take place in metro Melbourne and all around the state.

AO Glam Slam (GLTA Sanctioned)
The only LGBTIQ+ tennis event in the world to be held at a Grand Slam. Play at the Australian Open with 5 GLTA divisions of play and finals held as part of AO Pride at Melbourne Park on January 27.

Chill Out Tennis Championships (Club event)
The 7th edition of this popular tournament is the biggest sporting event at the Chill Out Festival. Enjoy all the action on the grass courts with singles and doubles. Join us in 2023 for another great weekend in Daylesford. Entry fee includes lunch and Guest lunch is $15.

Castlemaine LGBTIQ+ Championships (Club event)
VicTennis once again partners with the good folk at Castlemaine Lawn Tennis Club to bring you our second Castlemaine LGBTIQ+ Championships. Everyone is welcome to participate as we celebrate Castlemaine Pride weekend. Join us on April 30 for singles and doubles.
